Creating ELA Lesson Plans

Happy Saturday!

Goodness knows, teachers are well versed in creating lesson plans, but creating lesson plans that incorporate the heart of the Common Core has caused a lot worry, stress, and a LOT of time.  The issue of time, I think, is really the most crucial problem with lesson planning.  Quite honestly, there just isn't enough time in the day to create lessons, incorporate them into a lesson plan, and teach.  Certainly this will get much better with time, but like with anything that is new - change is arduous.

To help our teachers in the planning process I have been researching lesson plans for the ELA standards of the CCSS.  Below are various resources that either provide actual lesson plans or support in creating lesson plans that incorporate more in depth, high order skills.

I hope these are helpful and will help ease the strain of planning quality, student-centered lessons.

Happy Saturday!
